SCHOOL CLINICS
It is important to stress the changing nature of the medical officer's clinic sessions
from the miscellaneous minor ailments of the past (which are now mainly dealt with by
the school nurses), to the consultative type of sessions where parents and children attend
to discuss with the medical officer the problems of child development and behaviour.
This change is to be encouraged and supported by both the staff and the public as it is
along these lines that the future of the school health service can best be ensured.
