The following Table shows a comparison of the main features in the Vital Statistics for the District during the past five years:

ZYMOTIC DEATH RATE.
The Zymotic Death Rate is a term commonly applied to
the rate of deaths from the seven principal zymotic complaints,
viz.: Smallpox, Measles, Scarlet Fever, Diphtheria, Whooping
Cough, Diarrhoea, and "Fever." which latter includes Typhus,
Typhoid (or Enteric) and Paratyphoid Fevers.
During the year 9 deaths 'occurred from these complaints,
the Zymotic Death Rate being 0.14 per thousand of population.
