Distribution Of Leaflets.—The annual distribution of leaflets
containing information with respect to the notification, causes, symptoms,
etc., of Scarlet Fever and other Infectious Diseases, was carried out during
the year according to your instructions.
Food and Drugs.—In order to avoid overlapping the Kent County
Council still undertake to send this Council quarterly reports on the samples
of food, etc., taken in this District by their Inspector. During the year

During the year under review 53 samples were taken, as follows:—

Two of the samples of New Milk were found to be slightly inferior in
quality, and the sample of Cream was found to contain 0.11 of boric acid.
The Vendors were cautioned in these cases.
One sample of Butter proved, on analysis, to be Margarine, and the
Vendors were fined 40s., and costs 8s.
