On the application of a new tenant, a licence was granted during the
year in respect of the Slaughter-house in Lower Chislehurst which became
vacant in 1914, and therefore there is now only one unoccupied Slaughterhouse
in the District, that is in Upper Chislehurst
Dairies, Cowsheds, and Milkshops.—These premises have been
regularly visited and have been kept in good conditiou. and the limewashing
of the Cowsheds, &c., has been carried out.
A person resident at Bromley was found retailing milk in this District
without being Registered, and on the matter being brought to his notice,
application was made for a Certificate of Registration, which was granted.
Unsound Food.—No case of unsound food came to my notice during
the year.
Factories and Workshops.—These premises have been periodically
inspected, the total number of visits being 89, and attention has been paid
to the cleanliness and sanitary accommodatiou of the persons employed
therein.
The following were the chief defects found, and on the whole tho
Factories and Workshops are well kept:—
Dirty Work-rooms 2
Dirty and defective paving 1
These defects were remedied without legal proceedings.
The following Workshops were given up by the occupiers during tho
year
Sadler 1
Upholsterers 2
No new Workshops were registered.
