Lower Chislehurst: Scarlet Fever 3
Diphtheria 8
Erysipelas 5
It was found necessary to remove 30 of the cases to the Isolation
Hospital, which was an increase of 10 cases over the previous year, and two
cases were removed to the Bromley Union Infirmary.
One patient was still under treatment at the Isolation Hospital at the
end of the year.
In the majority of cases parents have readily assented to the removal
of their children to the Hospital, and the Medical Practitioners, by telegraphing
or telephoning immediately they have become aware of a case,
have rendered valuable assistance in getting the patients removed as speedily
as possible.
The following table shows the number of Notifications of Infectious Disease which have been notified since the formation of the Urban District in 1900, and also the respective Districts in which the cases have occurred:—
