Day nurseries
The opening of two new day nurseries in purpose-built premises, one of which was
completed at the end of 1952 and the other early in 1953, enabled the existing accommodation
to be released. Two nurseries were closed, one because of diminishing demand
and the other because the premises were required for other purposes.
