Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
The Table of house-to-house inspections which follows shows
the number of houses inspected in each Ward, the number of
houses in which defects were found, the percentage of defects to
houses inspected, as well as the number of families living in one,
two, three, and four rooms and upwards.
In I,III out of a total of 1,862 houses inspected, or 59.66 per
cent., sanitary defects necessitating the service of an intimation
notice were found.
The highest percentage was in Streatham, where the percentage
was 98.19, and thelowest in Southfield, where it was only
29.32, the next lowest being Putney, where it was 40.11.
