Borough, corrected for External and Internal Institutions.

The above were the cause of 76.1 per cent. of the total deaths,
compared with 77.5 in 1914, 77.8 in 1913, and 79.1 in 1912.
Cancer.
The total number of deaths from Cancer and other malignant
diseases was 398, 151 of males and 247 of females, compared with
393 in 1914, 352 in 1913, and 338 in 1912, a decrease of five compared
with the previous year, but an increase of 62 compared with
the corrected decennial average.
The corrected death rate was 1.20 per 1,000, compared with
1.20 in 1914, 1.07 in 1913, and 1.07 in 1912.
