Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
The number of deaths and the death-rate in each sub-district
was as follows Clapham, 69 and 1.10; Putney, 47 and 1.60;
Streatham, 149 and 1.42; Tooting, 36 and .93; and Wandsworth,
97 and 1.00.
One of the deaths occurred at two and under five years, one
at 15 and under 25 years, 38 at 25 and under 45 years, 198 at 45
and under 65 years, and 160 over 65 years.
The following Table shows the number of deaths according
to the part of the body affected.

In Institutions within the Borough, 17 deaths occurred from
Cancer, six males and 11 females. Six of these deaths occurred in
the Hostel of God, two in Putney Hospital, and nine in private
nursing homes.
