LARD.
26 samples of lard were analysed and all reported to be genuine.
FLOUR.
Nine samples of flour and 10 of baking powder were examined,
two of baking powder being reported against. All the samples of
flour and remaining samples of baking powder were reported
to be genuine.
In respect of the two samples of baking powder reported
against, one sample was taken informally and one from the same
source officially.
Proceedings were taken against the vendor, who was convicted
and fined 20s. and 12s. 6d. costs.
COFFEE.
24 samples of coffee were examined and all reported to be
genuine.
COCOA.
14 samples of cocoa were analysed and all reported to be
genuine.
SUGAR.
Seven samples of sugar were analysed, and all reported to be
genuine.
MUSTARD.
14 samples of mustard were analysed, and all reported to be
genuine.
