222 Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
All the children were cleansed by the officials of the London
County Council at the Cleansing Stations under the supervision of
that Authority.
26 adults had baths, 17 were contacts with cases of infective
diseases, seven were nurses who had been in attendance in cases
of Puerperal Fever, while two males were verminous.
Inspection of Urinals in connection with Licensed
Premises.
The number of urinals inspected was 128, 30 in Clapham,
20 in Putney, 25 in Streatham, 12 in Tooting, and 41 in Wandsworth.
468 inspections were made during the year and 25 notices,
chiefly for cleansing, were served and complied with.
In the Borough there are at present 14 public sanitary conveniences,
while there are in addition 21 urinals only belonging to
the Council.
169 inspections of the sanitary conveniences for females were
made by the female Sanitary Inspectors.
The provision of tree conveniences for the use of females has
been much appreciated, but these entail a greater amount of supervision
on the part of the staff employed.
145 inspections have been made during the year by the Inspectors
of other sanitary conveniences, chiefly in the elementary
schools in the Borough.
