Cleansing of Persons Act.
The baths at the Disinfecting Station have been more used
this year, chiefly owing to the increase in the number of contacts
with cases of infective diseases.
The names of 437 children, 47 belonging to Clapham, none to
Putney, 80 to Streatham, 198 to Tooting, and 112 to Wandsworth,
stated to be in a verminous condition, were forwarded to me by
the Medical Officer, Education Department, London County
Council, and the homes were visited by the Inspectors. In the
majority of cases only the heads of the children were verminous,
but in a few cases the body and clothing were also verminous.
