WHOOPING COUGH.
Whooping Cough exhibited the lowest return (55 deaths) recorded during
the last 20 years. It is 103 below the corrected average, and compares satisfactorily
with the average quinquennial periods, which were as follows:—
1886-1890 195 per annum.
1891-1895 173 „
1896-1900 166 „
1901-1905 117 ,,
Age at Death.— Of the 55 deaths, only 1 of the patients had passed the
age of five years, while 29 had not reached the age of 12 months and the
remaining 25 had passed their first year, but had not reached their 5th.
