With the exception of Conduit-street and Arlingtonstreet,
which were converted from paved streets to macadam,
the former at a cost of £270, and the latter at a cost of
£102 15s., the above figures represent the quantity of
material used in the general maintenance of the streets.
The expense of the conversion of Arlington-street was
borne by the inhabitants.

and flint roads, and, as regards the former, very satisfactorily.
For flint roads, however, owing to its excessive weight (15
tons), it is not so suitable.
