A certificate similar to that shewn on page 93 of this report has also
been granted in the case of the following above-ground bakehouses:—

SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year ending 31st December, 1904, 2,028 samples were
taken by the Inspectors.*
The following Table shews the localities in which these samples were
taken:—

216 of these samples were certified as adulterated, a percentage
of 10.6. Compared with the percentage of adulteration for the previous
year an increase of .6 is shewn.
Particulars of the samples taken together with the results of the
analyses are given in the following table.
*Mr. David, inspector for St. George's Ward, carried out his duties as Assistant
Inspector under the Food and Drugs Acts, at different periods, amounting to twelve
weeks, during 1904.
