(1) Certified ;
(2) Grade A (Tuberculin Tested) ;
(3) Grade A.
The new Order prescribes the following special designations : —
(1) Tuberculin Tested Milk.—Milk from cows which have
passed a veterinary examination and a Tuberculin test.
The milk may be bottled on the farm or elsewhere, and it must
satisfy a prescribed methylene blue reduction test for cleanliness.
It must not contain at any time Coliform Bacilli in l/100th
millilitre.
(2) Tuberculin Tested Milk (Pasteurised).—Milk from Tuberculin
tested cows which has been pasteurised. It must not contain
more than 30,000 bacteria per millilitre.
(3) Tuberculin Tested Milk (Certified).—Milk from Tuberculin
tested cows which has been bottled on the farm.
(4) Accredited Milk.—Milk from cows which have passed a
veterinary examination, but which are not Tuberculin tested. It
may be bottled on the farm or elsewhere. The same bacteriological
standards are required as for Tuberculin tested milk.
(5) Pasteurised Milk.- -This designation includes both accredited
and ungraded milk when pasteurised. The milk must not contain
more than 100,000 bacteria per millilitre.

Slaughterhouses.—Under the provisions of the London County Council (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1933, the Council is now responsible for the licensing of slaughterhouses, and the following premises have been licensed : —

Notice of intention to slaughter must be given to the Public
Health Department, and all carcases are examined before being
offered for sale.
