To assist the Public Analyst in determining suitable standards, surveys
were made in respect of certain foodstuffs, a wide selection of each particular
category being sampled. These included:-
Pates (12) To ascertain reasonable minimum meat content
Steak and kidney pies (13) To ascertain reasonable minimum meat content
Canned mixed meat and vegetable To ascertain reasonable minimum meat content
Shandies Standard of mix.
Fruit Salads/cocktails (10) Labelling offences in respect of order of
ingredients
Nutmegs (8) In respect of volatile oil content.
