Outwork (Sections 133 and 134)
Visits were made to the homes of persons notified as outworkers. In no case was it
found that work was being undertaken in unwholesome premises. The types of outwork and
number of workers were as follows:–

BASEMENT BAKEHOUSES (SECTION 70)
Two basement bakehouses were closed as a result of redevelopment by the Greater London
Council, i.e. 54 Archway Road, N.19. and 3 Moreland Street, E.C.1. Certificates of suitability
remained in force in respect of 9 basement bakehouses. Routine inspections were carried out
in connection with the Food Hygiene (General) Regulations 1960.
