were taken for bacteriological examination. Fortunately, none of the batches which
were sampled in this borough contained harmful organisms, although about onethird
of the tins were not sterile, but contained harmless bacteria, possibly indicating
insufficient heat-treatment.
However, in view of the publicity given, all batches of " Galtee " cream were
returned to the marketing agents.
