Greenwich House Day Clubs. These have now been fitted and
the rooms look considerably brighter and more attractive.
(b) Charlton House Day Club.
This Club has now been in operation for six years and the
number of persons using this Day Club is slowly, but steadily
increasing. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to
Mrs. Markson for the assistance she has given in the day to day
running of the Club.
During the year, members of this Club were taken on a coach
outing through the countryside, which was greatly appreciated by
all concerned.
(c) Kidbrooke House Day Club.
The scheme for transporting elderly invalids by Minibus from
their homes to Kidbrooke House has proved extremely popular and
we are pleased to report that the proposal to extend this service
to cover three days per week was put into operation on Tuesday,
12th June.

needs of these elderly people from the time they leave their homes
until they return and we would like to take this opportunity of
recording our sincere thanks and appreciation for the part they play
in brightening the lives of this section of our community.
Members attending this Day Club look forward with anticipation
to their monthly visits to the Roxy Cinema and we are very
grateful indeed to the Manager of the "Roxy" for the facilities
afforded on these occasions.
(d) West Greenwich House.
Although attendance at Charlton House Day Club is increasing,
the West Greenwich House Day Club still proves the most popular
and at the moment, the number of old people attending is such that
the accommodation available is adequate.
Mrs. Eastwood, the helper, is very popular with the members
and we are very grateful indeed to her for the way in which she
looks after their comfort and wellbeing.
During the year members have attended a number of functions
organised by the " Make and Mend Group," affiliated to the Greenwich
Community Council, in addition to a Christmas Tea Party
and outings and our sincere appreciation must be extended to the
