Overcrowding.—The number of cases of overcrowding reported
during the year was 506. These were investigated by the
Sanitary Inspectors and 261 were found to be overcrowded according
to the standards laid down by the Housing Act 1036. Seventy-nine
of these cases were granted new accommodation on the L.C.C.
Housing Estates.
