DISEASES NOT NOTIFIABLE IN FINSBURY
Chickenpox
There were 69 cases of chickenpox which came to the knowledge of
the department in 1956. None was severe and all made a satisfactory
recovery. There were no known complications.
Mumps
Eighty-eight mild cases of mumps came to the knowledge of the
department during 1956, All made a satisfactory recovery and there
were no known complications.
Infective Hepatitis
There were no cases of this disease in 1956.
Food Poisoning
Please see Section 'E'-Food.
Glandular Fever
There were three cases of glandular fever known to the department
during 1956 Two were adults and one a child. There was no contact
between the cases and no further incidents arose from them.
Tuberculosis
The total number of new cases entered in the register during the
year was 60.

The distribution by sex and age, and according as to whether the case was of Pulmonary or Non pulmonary Tuberculosis, was:
