DEATHS.
The number of deaths registered in the Borough during 1933
was 2,839. Of these, 1,485 were deaths of non-residents and were
transferred to the districts in which the persons ordinarily resided.
There were on the other hand, 570 deaths of Battersea residents
registered outside the Borough. The total (corrected) number of
deaths belonging to the Borough was 1,924 (males 998, females
926). This gives a recorded death-rate of 12.49 compared with
12.5 for London, and 12-3 for Eneland and Wales.
The distribution of the deaths and the death-rate per 1,000 inhabitants for each of the Sub-Districts and the nine Wards is shown in the following table.
