The following recommendations to hospital were made:—
Otorrhoea 7, injured arm 1, enlarged tonsils 3, whooping cough
1, adenitis 1, genu varus 2, abscess 1, chicken pox 1, burn 1, phimosis
1, rickets 1.
Mothers, expectant:
Constipation 22, anaemia 7, dental caries 4, general advice 23,
sacralgia 2, dyspepsia 12, varicose veins 3, cough 1.
Recommended for hospital treatment:—
Anaema 2.
Mothers, nursing:
Anaemia 14, constipation 9, tonsilitis 1, general advice 21,
cough 3, debility 23, menorrhagia 3, coryza 1, mastitis 6, dyspepsia 3,
rash 1, cracked nipples 1, furunculosis 2.
Recommended for hospital treatment for menorrhagia 2.

HEALTH VISITATION. The number of visits paid by the Health Visitors in 1925 was as follows:—

The numbers for 1924 were 328 first births, 1,585 total births,
and 10,589 visits. In 1925 the total number of Finsbury births
notified was 1,778, so that the figures in the preceding table show
that during 1925 practically every birth that occurred in the
Borough came under the supervision of the Public Health Staff.
The number of twins born and visited was 23 sets, or one set of
twins for every 77 births notified.
