Weighing Centres:
There are two municipal weighing centres in Finsbury, held
at the following places:—
162, Lever Street.—Wednesday, at 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m.;
Friday, at 9 a.m. and at 2 p.m.
Old Sessions House, Clerkenwell Green.—Thursday, at
2 p.m.

The number of new babies brought during the year was 439.
Of these, 349 were solely breast fed, 34 were bottle fed, and 56
breast fed and bottle fed, when they were brought to the Centres.
The average gain in weight per week while under observation
was 4 4 ounces. The highest weekly average gain was 6 4 ounces.
On their first visits 361 babies were fat and plump, 74 were thin,
while 4 were wasting. Only 20 per cent. were brought while they
were still under the age of 1 month. 66 per cent. attended under
three months. The number of premature babies kept under
supervision was 31.

or recorded by the parents. As far as they are known they are
given in the following table:—
