Infant Consultations, Ante-Natal Clinics, etc., attended, 891.
Baby Shows.—During October, Baby Shows were arranged
at each of the Council's Centres, only babies and children who
had attended the Consultations for at least three months being
eligible.
The Competitions were divided into the following groups :—
Group 1. Over three months and under nine months.
„ 2. Over nine months and under eighteen months.
„ 3. Over eighteen months and under five years.
Three prizes were awarded to each Group, and special prizes
were given to Twins.
The Baby Shows received the enthusiastic suppport not only
of the Chairman and Members of the Maternity and Child Welfare
Committee, but also of local ladies interested in Child Welfare, and
whose valuable assistance considerably helped to make the competitions
so successful.
Milk Supply, Etc.—Fifty-five thousand three hundred and
eighty-four lbs. of Dried Milk (Ambrosia, Glaxo, Cow and Gate)
