Ice Cream Premises. There were 118 premises known at
the commencement of the year where the mauufacture of this
commodity was carried on, 9 have been added during the year
and 12 taken off, leaving a total of 115 premises. These premises
were inspected on 134 occasions, and improvements, either by
way of cleansing of the premises in 15 cases, or the remedying of
sanitary defects in 5 cases, and 2 suitable ash receptacles required.

Food Preparation. Places where food is prepared have been visited on 167 occasions, improvements being required in 47 instances, as detailed below:—

The 47 instances where matters needed attention included
32 cases where the premises generally, or kitchen and scullery
particularly, needed cleansing and limewashing, 10 requiring
proper ash receptacles, and one required the drainage attended
to, leaving 4 other minor defects.
Customs and Inland Revenue Acts. No applications
were received during the year for certificates under these Acts.
