Birth-rate.
The Birth-rate was 14.7 per 1000 of the population, as compared
with the rate of 16.0 per 1000 in 1906, and 17.9, the average
for the years 1897—1906.
The following Table shows the birth-rates in 1907 for England and Wales, the 76 Great Towns, the 142 Smaller Towns, England and Wales less these 218 Towns, London and Hampstead:—
