Report on the sanitary condition of the Hackney District for the year 1905

the year. The number on the register at the end of 1904 was 37.
The Inspector made 366 inspections and served two notices for
slight defects observed during these visits. The notices were complied
with immediately.
On the 6th of July, the Public Heath Committee visited the
slaughter-houses of the Borough. These were all found in a satisfactory
condition with the exception of one slaughter-house, where
the paving was defective.

The following statement gives particulars as to the milk-places, cowsheds, slaughter-houses, and offensive trades in the Borough.

During the visits to the slaughter-houses the Inspector reports
that he examined the carcases of 219 oxen, 2,273 sheep, 2 calves,
16 sheep and 1 goat. The following were found diseased and were
surrendered as unfit for human food.
