condemned and ordered their destruction. A prosecution was
ordered by the Public Health Committee against the consignors,
a firm in Wiltshire. The defendants were fined 20s. and 2 guineas
costs. A second seizure was made of tuberculous pigs' heads in

DAIRIES, COWSHEDS AND MILKSHOPS.
Cowhouses.—There are 23 licensed cow-keepers in the Borough,
with 33 cowsheds. This is the same number as during the year
1904. The Inspector reports that he made 309 visits to these

supervised repairs in eight dairies. One summons was issued for
dirty utensils. The defendant was ordered to pay 2s. costs only.
Offensive Trades.—There is now only one such trade in the
Borough, that is a tripe boiler. The Inspector made 18 visits to

Slaughter houses.—There are now 36 licensed slaughter-houses
