UNSOUND FRUIT, VEGETABLES,
TINNED FOOD, &c.
Three hundred and twelve cartloads
of unsound food were removed by the Cleansing
Department and destroyed as trade refuse at
Letts' Wharf, at the written request and expense
of the owners.
The material so disposed of comprised:—
Vegetables and Fruit | 276 loads |
Condensed Milk | 15 „ |
Fish and Tinned Meat | 16 „ |
Cheese | 4 „ |
Miscellaneous | 1 „ |
Total | 312 loads |
The number of loads dealt with in the years
1897, 1898 and 1899 were 325, 250 and 452
respectively.
