in 18 cases, 4 infants were reported to be
insusceptible to vaccination, 42 had removed
into other districts, and 36 vaccinations were
pending at the end of the year.
During the same period only four adults, &c.,
were re-vaccinated, a number far below the
necessities of the population. It has been clearly
proved that infant vaccination does not confer
a life-long immunity from Small-pox, and
that re-vaccination should be performed at some
time between the ages of 7 and 10 years, and
again in the presence of an epidemic invasion.
