VACCINATION.
Of the births, 270 were successfully vaccinated,
41 died before the age for vaccination,
23 were postponed by medical certificate, 2 were
insusceptible, 58 removed into other districts,
and 26 were pending at the end of the year.
During the same period only Two adults, &c.,
were re-vaccinated, a number far below the
necessities of our population, it being clearly
proved that infant vaccination does not confer
a life-long immunity from Small-pox, and
requires renewal at ages between 7 and 10, and
again in the presence of an epidemic invasion.
