In comparing the above with the RegistrarGeneral's Returns, some discrepancies will be
observed, due to the fact that I have not been
furnished with the number of citizens who died
in Institutions other than those with which the
City is connected.
The number of deaths from the principal
zymotic diseases* was 29, or 1.03 per 1,000 of
the population, against 2.48 for the Metropolis.
* Including Small-pox, Measles, Scarlet Fever, Diphtheria, Whooping
Cough, Fever, and Diarrhoea.
