Table: The seizures of diseased and unsound meat have also been on a scale without precedent, having amounted to 1,172 tons 5 cwts. 2 qrs., against 884 tons 1 cwt. in 1898, the heaviest weight previously recorded being in 1897, when 918 tons 3 cwts. 3 qrs. were seized.
