Alfred Louisson, 45, Aldgate High Street.
These are much smaller premises than No. 44,
and the arrangements for the show and sale of
meat similar. The slaughterhouse is small, and
in fair constructive repair. At the back is a small
Pound opening upon the alley previously mentioned;
and also an ice safe for storage. Very
little slaughtering is done.
Henry Nathan, 46, Aldgate High Street.
The shop in which meat is exposed for sale is
large. The slaughterhouse behind is small,
but in fair repair and well-ventilated, although
not of modern construction. Animals for
slaughter are driven in from the street through
the shop. In the rear is a Pound, part of which
has been converted into an ice safe for storage.
The slaughtering is limited, and almost entirely
confined to calves, lambs, and a few sheep.
