In endeavouring to trace the origin of this
outbreak your Inspectors nave visited 23
different homes, most of them being in the
immediate neighbourhood of the School."
The Court agreed to my recommendation,
and the notice was served in due course upon
the Clerk of the School Board for London, and
on the 8th October I further reported as follows:
"In conformity with your order at the last
Court that the Infant Department of the above
School should be closed in consequence of an
outbreak of measles, I notified to the Clerk of
the School Board for London that we should
disinfect the premises, and that you, the Commissioners
of Sewers, as the Sanitary Authority,
would not allow the children to reassemble until
Monday, the 14th inst. Accordingly the
premises were thoroughly fumigated, and I
am informed that the school will not re-open
until after the above date."
