Unsound Food.

The following seizures of Unsound Food were made.

March 8thCarcase of a diseased Cow on premises in preparation for sale at 13, Brandon Road.Summons dismissed it not being proved the carcase was intended for the food of man. No costs allowed.
Eight boxes of Apples at St. Katharine's Wharf, sold to Vendor in the Parish.Summons dismissed on the ground that at the time the Apples were sold the defendant had no reason to believe them to be unfit for food. No. costs allowed.
MayTwo trunks of Fish (Plaice) exposed on premises 291, Caledonian Road.Summons dismissed without costs, it not being proved that the Fish was unfit for food at the time of its exposure.
July 29thUnsound Fruit (to wit)—Lemons and Onions, exposed for sale at 127, Copenhagen Street.Fined £8 and 2s. costs.
August 5thUnsound Fruit in preparation for sale at 23, Sutterton Road.Defendant vacated premises before hearing of Summons.
September 7thUnsound Fruit (to wit)—Pears, Plums and Grapes on premises 110, Seven Sister's Road.Summons dismissed, too long a time having elapsed between seizure of Fruit and its being brought before the Magistrate.
