Watering.—Part of the watering was done by the Vestry
staff, but horses and drivers were hired in addition from Mr.
Varney for 81 days between April 27th and August 31st for the
purpose, at a cost of £217 0s. 9d.
The following represents the cost of the watering for the season of 1896, that for 1895 being added for the purpose of comparison:-
