shortly; a post mortem examination was made, when the
veterinary surgeon certified that it died from rupture of the
double colon. On the 9th December, two horses were purchased
from Mr. Gryspeerdt for £138. The number at the close of the
year was 27.
Vans and Carts.—The number of vehicles belonging
to the Vestry is—21 vans, 7 carts, 13 water vans, 2 sweeping
machines, and a sand or salt distributor.
Fodder.—The Fodder account, allowing for stocks in
hand, amounts to £873, a decrease of £87, being an average of
12s. 11½d. per horse per week, a decrease from last year of
1s. 3d. per horse per week.
The following is a Statement of Stock on the 25th March,
with the Committee's estimate of the value of the same, a Wharf
Committee having visited the Wharf for the purpose on the
8th April last:—
