DEATHS.
The total number of deaths during the year was
126, viz., 70 Males and 56 Females, affording a Death
Rate of 9.02 per 1000 population, as compared with 9.05
in 1924.
The Death Rate for England and Wales in 1925
was 12.2, and for the 157 Smaller Towns 11.2, and for
London 11.7 per 1000 population.
There were 48 deaths which took place outside the
district but were transferable to the district.

There were no deaths from Measles nor Infantile
Diarrhoea during the year.
INFANTILE MORTALITY.
Of the 254 children born, 9 died under one year of
age, yielding an Infantile Mortality Rate of 35 4 per 1000
born. The rate was 41.3 for 1921, 46,3 for 1922, 36.5 for
1923, and 58.4 for 1924.
. Five infants died from Congenital Debility and
Premature Birth, most of them surviving only a few
hours.
In 1925 the Infantile Mortality Rate for England
and Wales was 75, for London 67, and for the 157
Smaller Towns 74.
There were four stillborn births.
