VITAL STATISTICS.
Births
There were registered during the year 254 births,
viz., 129 Males and 125 Females—Legitimate, 125 Males,
121 Females; Illegitimate, four Males, four Females.
The Birth Rate per 1000 population is therefore
15.2. In 1924 this rate was 18.5. There were eight
illegitimate births registered.
The Birth Rate for England and Wales in 3925 was
18.3, and for the 157 Smaller Towns (20,000 to 50,000)
18.3, and for London 18.0.
