PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER,
INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
During the period under review, with the exception
of the year 1921, when the number of cases of Scarlet
Fever and Diphtheria was above the average, there has
been no noteworthy incidence of infectious disease in the
district.
Three cases of Encephalitis Lethargica have been
notified, one in 1921, one in 1924, and one in 1925.
Only three "return" cases of Scarlet Fever have
occurred, and these were all notified during the year 1921.
Scarlet Fever patients who can be adequately isolated at
home are subjected to the Milne Treatment. This is
performed by a Nurse employed by the Council.
