WEALDSTONE URBAN DISTRICT.
Annual Report, 1919.
wealdstone,
June 15th, 1920.
To the Chairman and Members of the Wealdstone
Urban Ditrict Council.
.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit my Annual Report
upon the Public Health and Sanitation of the District,
for the year ending December 31st, j 919. This is the
twpnty-fifth Annual Report it has been my duty to
present since I was appointed Medical Officer of Health in
1894.
During the war our Annual Reports were considerably
curtailed under instruction from the Local Government
Board, but now the Ministry of Health has issued
instructions as to their size and scope, which renders it
necessary to report much more elaborately and in
detail upon all matters affecting the Sanitation and
Public Health of the District.
POPULATION.
The Registrar General supplies the following
figures of estimated population for 1919:—
For Birth Rate 13,767
For Death Rate 13,216
The difference in the rates is due to the fact that
men away on Military Service have not been included
for Death Rate.
