METEOROLOGICAL REPORT.

Mr. Walker kindly supplies the following summary of rainfall during 1907:—

The total rainfall for the year ending December 31st,
1907, was 25.24 inches, as against 27.47 for 1906, 23.04
for 1905, 21.63 1904, and 31.13 for 1903.
The wettest month was October with 4.28 amount of
rain. The dryest month, January, with .86 of rainfall.
The day on which the greatest amount: of rain fell
was October 14th, with .94.
The longest totally-dry period was from 8th to 24th
September (17 days). Rain fell more or less upon 197
days.
The usual statistical tables for the Local Government
Board and Home Office, and tabulated report of
sanitary work for the County Council will be found at
end of this Report.
In conclusion. Gentlemen, I wish to express my
thanks to Mr. Walker and the other Council Officials for
the kind assistance they have given me at all times, and
also my very sincere thanks to the Council for the unfailing
support they have afforded me in the discharge of my
