DISTRIBUTION OF DEATHS.
The following is the distribution of deaths according
to age:—

In reviewing the causes of death one is struck by
the large number due to pneumonia. Some of these
cases were of the Broncho-Pneumonia type and many
occurred in quite young children, for instance in the
March quarter there were 4 deaths from this disease all
in children ; in the June quarter 4 of adults and 3 of
children and in the December quarter 2 of adults and 2
of children.
I attribute the increase to severe climatic conditions
and the complications of Influenza producing
pneumonia of a very fatal character.
Last year there were only four deaths certified as
being due to this cause.
