Housing Improvement Scheme, Baker Street,
Orsett.—The Improvement Scheme at Baker Street
was mentioned in my Report for the year 1930, and
includes the provision of two Bungalows for persons
past child-bearing age. In my Report for the year
1930 I stated that it was expected that these bungalows
would be let at a rent of approximately 3/6. I am glad
to report that the actual rental of these bungalows is
2/10 inclusive. The Council are to be congratulated on
having erected the first of this type of property, certainly
on the Thameside, and possibly in the County of
Essex.
