REPORT
of the Medical Officer of Health
for the Year 1921.
To the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the
Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth.
Sir, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present the Annual Report on the
health and sanitary condition of the Borough for the year 1921.
Population.
The population of the Borough at the Census of 1921 was
328,656, but this in my opinion does not show the actual population
at that period. This has to some extent been recognised
by the Registrar-General, and he has adjusted the above population
by a redistribution of the estimated population on holiday,
and has increased the population to 331,500.
The detailed Census returns will not be available for inclusion
in this Report, as they will not be published till late in the
current year.
Table I. shows the population of each sub-district based on
the above estimation, compared with the Census population.
