Grouped above under the heading of "Other Articles," in
all 20 samples were found to be adulterated. Of these, six were
formal and 14 informal, as under:—
Two samples of Arrowroot (one formal and one informal)
consisted of Tapioca and Maize.
One sample of Olive Oil (informal) contained Cotton Seed
Oil.
One sample of Tinned Peas (informal) contained a Copper
colouring matter.
Four samples of Sausages (informal) contained a Boric preservative.
Two samples of Tapioca (one formal and one informal) consisted
of Sago.
Three samples of Malt Vinegar (one formal and two informal)
were deficient in Acetic Acid.
Two samples of Malt Vinegar (informal) proved to be coloured
Acetic Acid.
Five samples of Vinegar (two formal and three informal)
were deficient in Aeetie Acid.
