The accommodation will consist of the following:—
The Clinic is an independent building, the principal elevations being
on the north-west and south-west sides, having verandahs with
balconies over, the latter being covered with a glass roof.
The principal room on the the ground floor is the Main Hall, 40 ft.
by 36 ft., provided with folding screens, opening on to the verandahs.
Grouped around the Main Hall are the following offices:—
Two Doctors' Rooms, Two Health Visitors' Rooms, each containing
a Weighing Room, Dentist Room with Recovery Room adjoining,
Kitchen, and Male and Female Lavatory accommodation.
The Dispensary, which was previously in the Administrative Block,
has now bsen incorporated in the Clinic Building, and consists of a
glazed structure in the Main Hall.
The principal room on the first floor is the Sunlight Room, 40 ft.
bv 36 ft., with folding screens on the north-west side opening on to a
balcony. A portion of the room is screened off permanently on two
sides with a screen 6 ft. high, to form an access passage.
Around the Sunlight Room are grouped the following offices:—
General Dressing Rooms, Health Visitors' Room, Doctors' Room,
Toddlers' Room, Staff Lavatory, Isolation Room, Gymnasium, and
Nursery with Bath and Lavatory accommodation attached, together
with an emergency Fire Exit.
The Administrative Block, designed to face the road, contains the
following accommodation:—
Ground Floor— Front entrance, giving access to four Health
Visitors' Rooms, large Store Room, and a Porter's Room on left
affording control over traffic through both the main entrance to the
administrative block, and the side entrance, which will be the main
entrance to the Clinic Building.
First Floor — Caretaker's Quarters containing Living Room,
1 wo Bedrooms, Kitchen, Bathroom and Lavatory. Clerk's office with
separate w.c., and Slip Room adjoining for the use of Health Visitors.
1 he Caretaker's Quarters are entered by a private door from the
landing.
It is hoped that the Building will be ready for occupation in June.
